With a current residence over the last several years at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, CONTRA-TIEMPO is thrilled to be culminating their partnership with the creation of a film project with the Sheboygan community. The company and Arts Center will be partnering with several community based organizations and individuals who make up the fabric of Sheboygan to meet over several weeks to build text, movement and theater. This collective work is set to honor the past, celebrate our present and bravely conjure a future for the city of Sheboygan. Through this film we are imagining a future of more belonging, connection and justice.

The commitment is 6 sessions from August 11–23, culminating in the creation of a film that will premiere September 30 as part of the Return to the Real Music Series at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center

CONTRA-TIEMPO will be physically in residence in Sheboygan August 8–27.
